## Part 1: How to Write a Clear Question
When posting a question, it is best to give as many details as possible. Please include the following information:

• PSCAD version
• Compiler version
• Relevant tags (if tag is not available, ask a mod or admin to make it)
• If the question is related to a build error, include screen shots of the error messages (blue messages are not important, turn these off for screenshot for clarity)
• If the question is related to coding, include the script either as an attachement or imbedded into your question using the </> code option.
•If the question is related to engineering, include relevant docs, screenshots, equations, assumption, and anything else that a user might need to know.
•If the question is related to an example from EMT-Tools.com collection, include the URl by using the "Share" button from the example card.

## Part 2: How to Reply (Answers vs. Comments)
Because our community uses a Q&A format, it is important to choose the correct reply method:

• Use "Post your Answer" ONLY for complete solutions: The main answer box is reserved strictly for providing a brand new, comprehensive solution to the original question.
• Use "Add Comment" for everything else: If you need to ask the author for clarification, point out an error, thank someone for their help, or ask a follow-up question, use the Add comment button located directly under the specific question or answer.
